If there’s any rule I believe a guy should abide by, it would be to ‘never let your girl go to sleep upset or mad.’ That’s the worst thing you can do. When you guys throw that whole “fuck this shit, I’m going to bed” type of thing, it makes us feel like you don’t care enough to even TRY to resolve whatever issue or tension at hand. We feel like you don’t care that you could risk losing us. Learn to be a little more understanding. If you’re going to give up so easily, might as well just give up on this whole relationship. Because you know what? NO relationship goes smoothly if that’s what you think. We will face obstacles and have dumb little arguments over things not even worth arguing over—we’ll have a lot of those actually— but that’s inevitable, and it’s all part of a normal, healthy, working relationship. That’s what boyfriends and girlfriends do. We fight, we talk it out, we make up, and then we’re back stronger than before. If you’re not willing to put in that extra effort and go that extra mile to work things out then maybe you’re not worth my time or my feelings.
